Sometimes we will find ourselves waiting for certain things to happen (e.g. an apology, admission of fault) before we feel we can move on or let go. The truth is this sort of mindset can give our power away. Basing our growth or healing on someone else’s behaviour can make us feel stuck and frustrated. We can move on without an apology (even though it seems hard). We can give ourselves permission to heal.

We are all big balls of energy. Full of emotion, trauma, love, light, and all the fuzz. The good stuff. The bad stuff. It’s all there. All the time.

I’m no psychologist, but you bet I’ve been to one. And that’s ok. The stigma behind the “shame” that goes behind seeking help is so beyond sad and crippling; no wonder why we don’t talk about how we feel.

Friends and family constantly remind you they are there, but when it comes time they are not. And guess what, THAT IS ALRIGHT. That my friend, is the biggest sign.

It’s ok to get an outside opinion, and not only just an opinion but a professional one, so before you say “they don’t know my life, and what I’ve been through!”
Sigh* I get how you feel, I’ve sad that before too.
& Absolutely, you’re right. But they’re trained professionals just as any other job in the universe. You’re not “stronger than therapy” it takes a lot. And I mean some days EVERYTHING in me, to walk into the door. But admitting that you can’t do it all alone, shows just how strong that you truly are.

Look.
Your life and the things you go through is not a pop up shop and then it goes away. It sits with you, whether you think so or not. So let’s end that shame of seeking help💟 every(BODY) is worth it.

Then there are things to continue self development like:
•meditation
•spirituality/religion
•hobbies
•books
•painting
•traveling
•walking/biking/hiking
•exercise
...and the list goes on.

At the end of the day,
You have to put the work in.
Put one foot infront of the other. Leave the job that makes you miserable, break up with that toxic person, break up with a situation, make the DECISION to make the CHANGE.

Just the first step. Not five jumps forward. But do something to lighten your load.

On the Happiness Trap: and how the happiness industry is selling us a lie. .

If by happiness we mean an ongoing state of contentment and joy in life, an experience of pleasure and absence of pain- then happiness does not exist and the more we chase it the more unhappy we will become.
We are living at a time in which the Happiness Industry invades society and every unpleasant aspect of life is frowned upon, and dismissed as an unnecessary social ill. Rather than learning to cope with or contemplate certain aspects of life – fear, sadness, loneliness and boredom – we avoid them, gradually removing our ability to tolerate even the most mundane of the difficult aspects of life.
This was the thrust of Dr Russ Harris’s book, The Happiness Trap (2008), in which he argued that the growing influence of happiness ideologies and institutions has created a generation of people unable to cope with or even understand the dynamics of grief, suffering and despair. We have therefore elevated the ideal of happiness to the extent that our capacity for self-growth is stunted – ironically so, given the amount of self-help books readily available. .

1. Чувство неполноценности, а не сексуальность, является фактором развития личности, заставляя преодолевать мнимый или реальный недостаток. Имеет следующие характеристики: отличается от комплекса неполноценности; врожденная и бессознательная природа, индивидуально у каждого человека; может быть органическим (физический недостаток) или психологическим (неполноценность в эмоциональной, коммуникативной сфере). Комплекс неполноценности — совокупность психологических и эмоциональных ощущений человека, выражающихся в чувстве собственной ущербности и иррациональной вере в превосходство окружающих над собой. Комплекс неполноценности возникает вследствие разнообразных причин, таких, как: дискриминация, душевные травмы, свои собственные ошибки и неудачи и т. п. Комплекс неполноценности существенно влияет на самочувствие и поведение человека.
2. Стремление к превосходству, врожденное, бессознательное, - это компенсация переживаемой неполноценности, уравновешивающая ее. Индивидуально у каждого и является движущей силой развития личности, так как, заставляя преодолевать недостаток, формирует стремление стать лучшим.
3. Фиктивный финализм, или постановка жизненной цели, обусловлен характером неполноценности, например, при физическом недостатке ставится цель преодолеть его и жизнь строится по соответствующему плану. Конечной идеальной целью развития человека является "стремление к совершенству-, к достижению своей самости.
4. Стиль жизни - это набор особенностей и привычных способов функционирования индивида в окружающей среде, который вырабатывается индивидуально как компенсация конфетной неполноценности и способ достижения поставленной жизненной цели. Стиль индивидуален и уникален у каждого человека.
5. Социальный интерес - врожденный бессознательный элемент, определяет направление развития личности, постановку жизненных целей и формирование индивидуального стиля.

As we wake up, there will be changes. Some of these changes might feel incredibly uncomfortable and a bit confusing.

The people we feel good around and the place and environments we’re drawn to can change drastically when we’re in a healing space.

We’re peeling back the layers of protection, seeing through our own ego drama, going deep with our inner-child and all of that increases sensitivity and makes us feel more cautious with our energy.
