just wanted to hop on here and give everyone a big thank you for being so freakin amazing and supportive! i have received so many nice comments/messages/emails regarding my transformation story youtube video and i just gotta say that it means soo much to me. it is not always easy coming on here and trying to be vulnerable, but you guys are the backbone of my support system and i appreciate it more than you know! lately i have leaned out a lil more than my usual weight but i’m not really doing anything to push myself in that direction😂 my gym sessions have been top notch and i’m skiing again on the weekends, so i’m sure the extra activity has something to do with it. as far as food goes, i’m eating pretty intuitively but i do track any recipes i make up just to be sure i’m understanding how much i am eating. never hurts to be intentional! hope you all have a fab saturday 💕

For those who argue that sugar present in fruit is better for our health than processed items because it derives from a ‘natural’ source... They are wrong. The sugar found in fruit merely occurs in an environment where micronutrients and fibre are present. Micronutrients definitely benefit our health and fibre offers a potentially greater level of satiety, resulting in potentially greater control over food related behaviors, and ultimately calorie control. But in its own right, sugar is sugar. -

Here is a selection of low sugar (therefore lower calorie) fruits. Simply put, consuming measured portions of these more often than higher sugar (and calorie) fruits, will result in consumption of fewer calories whilst nutrient acquisition is still achieved. Additionally, more volume of food can be consumed per calorie. -

Eat any fruit (and food) you enjoy, but if you have a compositional goal, do so in awareness of total energy consumed. Fruit contains micronutrients which support functional health, fibre which helps one feel satiated and water which hydrates. But despite these insurmountable benefits, one should treat the eating of fruit exactly the same as any food they wish to consume 🙂. -

I’m writing this post to the girl who feels stuck. Who feels unhappy. Who feels like they’ll never escape the horrible situation they’re in. I want you to know that NO MATTER WHAT you are going through, there is always hope on the other side. It may take some time, but it is there.

I have been through HELL this year. People who have been following me this whole year have watched me fall to my knees, have mental breakdowns, crying so hard I couldn’t breathe, feel hopeless, defeated, question myself and who I was, unworthy, broken and so much more.

For the first time in a long time I feel BACK TO ME and HAPPY. ⭐️ There were times this year I wasn’t sure if I was going to make it. There were silent traumas I was dealing with all alone. My recovery from my surgery earlier this year was so excruciating that I wasn’t sure I could do another day.

Sometimes all you need to know is that there’s hope. That someone out there is struggling silently too but you are never alone and you WILL GET THROUGH IT.

I hope I can be a light in at least one person’s life to show you that you can make it to the other side BETTER and stronger THAN EVER.

I often get asked “is a protein shake a good idea from someone who wants to lose weight?”. My answer to that is yes, because a shake can be an easy & convenient way to get in more protein and have a healthy snack.⠀

Now, you don’t have to get a protein powder if you don’t want to. You could also use Greek yogurt like I did in the 2nd shake example. However, I love a good chocolate protein powder because it satisfies my sweet tooth while still being a healthy option!⠀

Also reminder no one meal or snack can make you lose or gain weight and you have to adjust portions to your calorie goals - these are just some examples 😁 Below is the breakdown of the macros for each shake - remember to add water, ice and stevia as needed:⠀
