#motivationmonday 💪 I’m feeling super motivated today!! Writing all my food down in my @princess.planning diary!! I won’t be posting as much food on my grid though as I’m aware it can get super dull seeing the same meals over and over!! 🤣 The girl on the left was so unhappy with her body, I was 3 months postpartum and so so so sad and although I’m feeling a bit fed up with my weight at the moment, I’m NO WHERE NEAR how I felt there! 🌸 this week I’m going to be bang on plan and watching my calories, it’s the last weigh in before Christmas on Friday so I’m trying to make it count! I want my 0.5lb gain from last week OFF!!! Really really great Chest workout today. Worked up to 340x2 for my last set. Not up around my max or anything but felt really great. I think I was fueled from all the steak I ate yesterday 😂. Wanted to give a shout-out this morning to @porkythor ... not keto but has had great weight loss and is an absolute monster in the gym and just killed it at a powerlifting competition. Just wanted to show you something I do..... I use white board pen on our kitchen cupboards.... We have 3 kids, our house is not a show home, it's lived in!
This cupboard gives us a quick run down of what's in the freezer for quick reference, I put the syn's next to stuff too.
On other cupboards we have the weekly meal plan, syns log and other stuff.

🌻 I am who I am today because I opened my mind and heart to a crazy idea.. the idea that I deserved abundant healthy food, a high energy life, adventure when I could, a career I was passionate about and rest when I craved it!

I closed my mind off for almost 4 years by falling for my very first gimmick diet beliefs. I started going against my body - restricting and over working.
_

Carbohydrates were the enemy, anything above 1600 calories was gluttony, 2 heavy workouts a day was normal, consuming triple sometimes quadruple the amount of protein my body needed was the norm.
_
Then came the downfall .. I fell deep. The extreme restriction, the unbearable digestion issues from the acidic animal protein and dairy, binge after binge because my body was starving and I couldn't hold off anymore.
_
All because I closed my mind to what I knew was right and forced myself into something that hurt me - into this belief that eating abundant foods was wrong, that I needed to starve my body of glucose (carbs) even though glucose is what our bodies run off, that I was lazy if i didn't spend 2+ hours inside the gym everyday.
_
Don't ever fall for this -- for any gimmick diet. I've been through them ALL. Cleanses, fasts, carb cycling, low carb, intermittent fasting, iifym, paleo... None of which were sustainable.
_
Ask yourself this- can I see myself eating this way when im 40-50-60 .. Would I eat this way while I was pregnant .. Would I feed my child this way?
Portioning meals, consuming chemical diet foods, limiting calories, weighing food.. I don't think so.
_
PLANT BASED: no restriction, no counting calories, no limited portions, no insane workout regime. Amazing digestion, a lean/tight body, abundant energy and of course - the most amazing foods ever. Pizza, pasta, sushi, burgers, fries, milkshakes, ice cream, cookies, cakes, chips, dips - and everything in between.

I'm about to get real deep and vulnerable with you because I think so many of you can relate... One of my most dreaded events of every year was Travis's work holiday party. Truthfully, it's a really sore subject for us. For the first 4 years of our marriage, I didn't feel good enough to ever go with Travis to represent him as his wife because I FELT like the biggest embarrassment but the worst part of it all, I convinced myself that HE THOUGHT I was an embarrassment and that he didn't want me to go. Our first Christmas married, I was 6 months pregnant with Bryn and I was rapidly gaining weight from head to toe, I was already so swollen, my fingers and toes were like sausages, I literally had nothing in my closet but 2 pairs of leggings and 3 shirts (for 9 months guys that's all I wore IF I left the house) and there was no way I was about to try and find something appropriate to wear. Then year 2 came and again, I felt like an embarrassment but that year it was worse because I didn't have the excuse of pregnancy. And the cycle continued for 4 years (pregnant with Lainey) and it got to the point where I stopped even getting invited and which we all know deep down hurts the most of all. Each year I truly experienced some of my lowest moments and I created so much animosity, bitterness and depression from events like this. I have TWO messages for you. 1 is this, the most important message I want you to take from my experiences and that is NEVER ALLOW YOUR WEIGHT TO DEFINE YOUR WORTHINESS. Never EVER blame your insecurities on your spouse. Never sit on the sidelines in resentment and anger and sadness because you aren't happy with yourself. I missed out on years of experiences, years of memories and joy because I was so unhappy with myself. I WISH I would've allowed myself to still go out and live and have fun! I wish I would've gone and searched for a beautiful dress that flattered my then body (even tho those shopping moments always ended in tears but I wish I would've still tried). I wish I would've glammed up for a night and stood by Travis's side and SUPPORTED him and made it about him and NOT ME. (Continued on post 2)

[Continued, see previous post] I would've left feeling proud, feeling grateful and feeling so glammed and pretty for a change and I know it would've brought me and travis closer instead of pulling us further apart. Or maybe I would've left feeling completely insecure and terrible but at least I still went and supported him! I think there's always insecurities and so much pressure associated with work parties! Even this year, I stressed and maybe it's because of the scar I left on my mind from previous parties, but all week I picked myself a part, I went carb free, I spent hours trying on a million dresses. I allowed myself to feel the same emotions and the same pressure and anxiety and I'm 100 pounds lighter. It was obviously easier to work through this time, but my point is, as women, we put SO MUCH PRESSURE on ourselves and really, it doesn't need to be like this! The second message is this, I wish I would've recognized my thoughts, and my cycles and gotten help sooner. My weight was not my problem, my weight was the result of what was happening on the inside! It was just my excuse for all the things that I didn't want to face. It's so easy to not see or to ignore what is really happening deep down inside. I wish I would've sought help, recognized that I couldn't do it alone. I wish I would've started with a doctor and then a therapist. But with all that said, I did eventually hit rock bottom and all these events finally led me to take a huge leap of faith and a whole lot of humility (and hope) and get the weight loss surgery. It's important for you guys to remember that I didn't just have surgery, I went to counseling and I got on depression meds for a bit. Eventually with the counseling and my complete change in diet and my weight loss, I was able to get off meds! But I sought help, and it all changed my entire life! Do not forget that every single piece is important to completing the WHOLE PUZZLE! Dig deep, and create your team and don't ever give up because you are worth it! #totaltransformation
